Nobody disputes he isn't good enough. I'[m interested in how the club makes sure the next Poyet makes better progress. Or if he was never good enough, to avoid investing in him in the first place!

I can't remember what I did yesterday, son. Let alone a year or so ago.

All of our central midfielders are good players and are better than him. It really is that simple. There's no agenda there's no lost opportunity there's no underlying problem, the boy isn't good enough to break into our midfield.

Which poor performances are those? Not sure he's played in the senior side for over a year.

Started off well but he blossomed in a proper deep holding role in a 4-1-4-1 playing for Charlton
Just didn't look comfortable enough in the 4-2-3-1 we play
Good passer of the ball but mainly sideways. Lacked creativity to play the role well but wish him all the best. Hope he can establish himself at a championship club

Are you going to blame the fixture list on his poor performances for us, V son?

>>> I'll help you out son, he simply isn't good enough...
That's the 'lazy fan' answer, of course it is. More complicated is what might have gone wrong during his development over the last couple of years, and what the club can learn from that. As always I hope the club is well-organised enough to ask itself these questions, so the pitfalls can be avoided in the future.

The couple of times I saw him I rated him. Shame

It's a shame as you always want youngsters to succeed at the club, but sadly it's probably for the best. His passing just wasn't good enough and he lacked in movement and vision from what I saw of him. Not the worst at defending, but we'd rightly want more than just that from a midfielder. Best of luck to him.

Always a bit sad when it doesn't work out for young kids. On the bright side if John Moncur's God bothering twerp of a son can make it further down the league structure I'm sure Poyet Jr can. If Charlton have any sense they will take him back

He never quite recovered from the negative tweets he had made about Andy Carroll before arriving at West Ham.

Limited ability, probably only got as far as he did because of his dad.
Expect him to be playing for Dagenham and Redbridge before too long.
